​​It started at the age of 15... ​One of the outdoor magazines always ran an ad for Relco metal detectors. I saw the ad repeatedly and thought about all the gold and silver I could find........that was years ago. 

After seeing the ad, I saved my money and bought a Whites metal detector. I don't recall what model but I am sure it was an early Coin Master. 

​I hit the local parks and found lots of clad and every now and then some silver. I found a few rings, nothing special, and saved everything. Every few years I would turn my clad in and upgrade the machine. I went through all the Coin Masters over the years and ended up one day with a Whites XLT. It couldn't get any better then this....or so I thought.
